Oloomna

Use case

A reception screen that shows visitors what’s happening.

Oloomna gives your reception area a calm, clear screen: today’s and this week’s activities, upcoming events, the time and local weather, and a panel for your latest posts or a QR code. Visitors and staff see what’s on as they arrive.

What visitors and staff see

  • What’s on today and this week. Activities with their time and location, with today’s clearly marked.
  • Upcoming events. The rest of the month and the next, grouped by month, and countdown cards for major events.
  • Time and weather. A large clock and today’s date in your organisation’s time zone, and today’s conditions for your location.
  • A feature panel. Your organisation’s latest Instagram posts, an image of your choice, or a QR code that links to a page such as your website.

Why it suits a reception area

A good first impression

A clear, readable screen shows visitors an organisation that is active and organised.

Nothing internal by accident

Only activities that are confirmed, approved for the screen and not hidden appear, and only after an editor publishes.

A private display link

The screen opens a private link that shows the published board only, and you can replace the link at any time.

Set it up in three steps

  1. Get your editor account

Request access for your organisation. Editor accounts are set up by an administrator, so there is no instant sign-up.

  2. Add activities and countdowns

Sign in to the editor, add what’s coming up, mark what is approved for the screen, preview the board, then publish.

  3. Open your display link on the screen

Open your organisation’s private display link in the screen’s web browser. It shows the published board only, and you can replace the link at any time.

Tips for a reception screen

  • Face it towards the waiting area. Visitors read the screen while they wait, so place it in their line of sight.
  • Avoid glare. Keep the screen away from direct sunlight from windows and glass doors.
  • Use the QR code. Link visitors to your website, a brochure or a feedback page with the feature panel.
  • Write for visitors. Short, clear activity titles read best for people who don’t know your internal names.

Frequently asked questions

Can visitors see internal-only activities?

No. Only activities that are confirmed, approved for the screen and not hidden appear, and only after an editor publishes. Everything else stays in the editor.

Can the screen show our Instagram posts?

Yes. The feature panel can show your organisation’s latest Instagram posts. It can also show an image or a QR code instead.

Can we add a QR code for visitors?

Yes. The feature panel can show a QR code that links to a page of your choice, with an optional title and caption.

What happens if the internet connection drops?

The screen keeps showing the last published board, with a clear note that it is offline, and updates again when the connection returns.
